A EA-6B Prowler ICAP-II weapons system trainer built for the Marine Corps. Trainer includes full cockpit functionality with (PC based) simulated ALQ-99 jamming system for complete pilot and Electronic Countermeasures Officer (ECMO) training. Simulated operational flight program (OFP) reads actual mission data for use in simulating ALQ-99 functionality. 2F178 2.1 Upgrade
This upgrade included software and hardware changes associated with the block 89A aircraft Operation Flight Program 2.1 update. The OFP simulation changed to a single module and was re-hosted to work within the MRS framework.
2F178 3.0 Upgrade
This upgrade also included hardware and software changes to incorporate the block 89A aircraft Operation Flight Program 3.0 update. Changes made to this software also applied to the software used in the development of the Mission Rehearsal Trainer (MRT) project.
