Signal Analysis
The Signal Strength Analysis Tool is much more than a simple line of sight analysis, received power at every point in the analysis area is determined and color coded. The SSA works equally well for both radar and communications signals.
While primarily a mission planning tool, the SSA enhances the EWSS capability in the form of easier scenario editing, mission rehearsal and in-city radio analysis / RCIED simulation.
Analysis Capability:
The analysis types for planning or scenario generation include:
- Received power analysis for communications
- Interference (or jammer) analysis for communications
- Range and Signal-to-Noise jammer analysis for radar
- Both large scale and in city analysis
Propagation Analysis Model:
The SSA factors used in calculating received power include:
- Space and near earth losses
- Terrain occlusion and diffraction
- Fresnel zone effects
- User definable models for weather and buildings
